Streusel Coffee Cake

A delicious and moist streusel coffee cake perfect for any morning.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking pan.
  8. Sprinkle half of the streusel topping over the batter.
  9. Add the remaining batter, followed by the rest of the streusel.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds for a warm treat.
