Strawberry Pretzel Salad

A delightful combination of salty pretzels, sweet strawberries, and creamy filling, perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup strawberry gelatin mix
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix crushed pretzels, granulated sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow cooling.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  6. In another bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water, then add sliced strawberries. Let cool slightly.
  7. Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using different berries.
  • Make sure the crust is fully cooled before adding the cream layer.
