Steak Queso Rice

Steak Queso Rice is a delightful combination of tender steak, creamy queso, and fluffy rice that makes for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup queso cheese dip
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the flank steak with chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through.
  3. Remove steak from the skillet and allow to rest, then slice thinly.
  4. In the same skillet, add white rice and toast for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add beef broth to the rice, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover until rice is cooked.
  6. Once rice is done, stir in queso cheese dip and cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Top the cheesy rice with sliced steak and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add diced bell peppers when cooking the steak.
  • This dish can be garnished with fresh cilantro or green onions.
