- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 package instant yeast
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- Add the sourdough starter, melted butter, sugar, salt, and cinnamon to the yeast mixture.
- Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Once risen, punch the dough down and shape it into small balls.
- Roll each ball in the brown sugar and place them in a greased bundt pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips in between layers if desired.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a plate.
