Matcha Green Tea Swiss Roll

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup matcha green tea powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy.
  3. Combine flour and matcha powder, then fold into the egg mixture.
  4. Add the milk and mix until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a lined baking pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool slightly, then roll it with parchment paper and set aside.
  8. Whip the heavy cream with vanilla until soft peaks form.
  9. Unroll the cake carefully, spread the whipped cream, and re-roll it.
  10. Chill in the fridge before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to not overbake the cake to prevent it from becoming dry.
  • Feel free to add fruits like strawberries or raspberries.
