- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1 can green beans, drained
- 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened.
- Stir in cheese until melted.
- In a mixing bowl, combine macaroni, green beans, and turkey bacon with the cheese sauce.
- Pour into a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon.
- Add extra cheese on top for a cheesier casserole.
