Ham and Potato Soup

A perfect blend of ham and potatoes that brings comfort to your table.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 4 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the ham and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the diced potatoes and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir in the milk and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then serve hot.

Notes

  • For a creamier soup, use heavy cream instead of milk.
  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables.
