Easy Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs

A delicious recipe for easy mozzarella stuffed meatballs that combines turkey bacon for juicy perfection.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well until combined.
  4. Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm.
  5. Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center and wrap the meat around it to form a ball.
  6. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  7. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until cooked through.
  8. While meatballs are baking, sauté chopped turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy.
  9. Once meatballs are done, toss them with sautéed turkey bacon before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
