Easy Chicken Teriyaki with Marinade

A delicious and simple recipe for Chicken Teriyaki using a homemade marinade.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Remove chicken from marinade and set aside. Pour marinade into a saucepan.
  4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then add to the saucepan.
  5. Bring the marinade to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until thickened.
  6. Cook chicken in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, then pour sauce over the chicken.
  7. Serve with rice or vegetables.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Pair with steamed broccoli for a complete meal.
