  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup turbinado sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in the heavy cream until the dough is fully combined.
  8. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  9. Sprinkle turbinado sugar on top of each cookie.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  11. Let them cool before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, use a kitchen torch to lightly toast the turbinado sugar on top.
  • Serve these cookies with a scoop of ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
