Classic Patty Melt Recipe

A delicious twist on a classic patty melt featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 4 slices chicken ham
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, cook onions until caramelized.
  3. Form ground beef into patties, season, and cook in the skillet to desired doneness.
  4. Layer a slice of cheese on each patty, allowing it to melt slightly.
  5. Assemble the sandwich: bread, patty with cheese, turkey bacon, chicken ham, and caramelized onions, then top with another slice of bread.
  6. Butter the outsides of the sandwiches and toast on the skillet until golden brown.
