Classic Patty Melt Recipe

A delicious twist on the classic patty melt featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham for a juicy and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 4 slices chicken ham
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté the onions until golden brown.
  3. Form the ground turkey into patties and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the patties in the skillet until fully cooked, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Assemble the patty melts by layering turkey patty, chicken ham, crispy turkey bacon, sautéed onions, and Swiss cheese between two slices of rye bread.
  6. Spread butter on the outside of the bread and grill until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Serve with pickles and your favorite dipping sauce.
  • Feel free to substitute the turkey bacon with regular bacon if preferred.
