  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the dough evenly in a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle a little sea salt on top before baking.
