  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns brown and has a nutty aroma.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the browned butter and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  5. Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  6. Add the sour cream and flour, and mix until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  8. Pour the mixture into a prepared cheesecake pan.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  10. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the batter.
