  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate cake, cubed
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer half of the chocolate cake cubes at the bottom.
  3. Spread half of the cherry pie filling over the cake cubes.
  4. Spoon half of the whipped cream over the cherries.
  5. Repeat the layers, starting with the remaining cake cubes, followed by more cherries, and finish with whipped cream on top.
  6. Top with chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes
